Recruitment to vacant posts will be expedited
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot directed that the process of recruitment and promotion on vacant posts should be expedited to maintain the quality of education in government colleges. The Chief Minister said that through the Rajasthan Public Service Commission, the ongoing recruitment process for about one thousand posts of college lecturers should be completed soon.

Effective policy will be made for transfer
Gehlot also said that an effective policy should be made for transfers in higher education. He said that the youth of the state should get quality higher education with a view to make them excellent human resource.

Preparation to raise the level of education
“Keeping in mind the career building of the youth, it is the topmost priority of the state government to ensure that the standard of higher education in the state is top-notch,” he was quoted as saying in a statement. The Chief Minister said that an effective system should be developed to ensure that the UGC and other prescribed norms are compulsorily met in the private colleges.

Also the faculty working in these colleges should be eligible as per UGC rules. Higher Education Minister Rajendra Singh Yadav, Chief Secretary Niranjan Arya, Secretary Higher and Technical Education NL Meena and other officials attended the meeting.
