Sarkari Naukri 2022: Assam government will fulfill the promise of providing one lakh jobs within a year

Guwahati:The Assam government is committed to its promise of providing jobs to one lakh people before the completion of one year of its term on May 10 this year. Finance Minister Ajanta Niyog said this in the state assembly on Tuesday. Before the assembly elections in 2021, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had promised the people of the state that if the party comes to power, it will give jobs to one lakh people within a year of forming the government.

Himanta Biswa Sarma was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Assam on 10 May last year. In a written reply to a question, the Niyoga said that the recruitment process is going on in various departments and the administration is committed to fulfill the promise of providing government jobs to one lakh people. Earlier, Himanta has also spoken about giving jobs to one lakh people of the state before the completion of one year through his Twitter account.

Finance Minister Ajanta Niyog informed that 104 jobs have already been given in Health Department, 123 in Home Department and 930 in Education Department. He said that the recruitment process is going on for another 84,244 posts. The Minister said that two commissions have been constituted to ensure transparent recruitment process and they are working. In a written reply to another question, the Niyoga said that out of over eight lakh eligible beneficiaries under the first phase of the state government’s scheme to repay loans from micro-finance institutions (MFIs), over six lakh received their incentives. Is.

He said that 6,70,301 people who had taken loan from MFIs and are repaying it regularly have got incentives under the Assam Micro Finance Incentive and Relief Scheme (AMFIRS), 2021 so far. He said that the amount disbursed under the scheme is more than Rs 1,216 crore.

The commission said that 2,20,438 eligible identified beneficiaries have not yet received the incentive amount. He said that more beneficiaries would be brought under the ambit of the scheme in the next two phases. He said that Rs 2530 crore has been earmarked for AMFIRS for 2021-22.
