This time UPSC will recruit a total of 838 posts in various departments of the central government through CMS exam. The recruitment will be done in two categories. The name of the post and their number are given below-
Category-1: Junior Scale Post – 349 posts will be filled in Central Health Service.
Category-2
Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in Railways – 300 Posts
General Duty Medical Officer in New Delhi Municipal Council – 05 Posts
EDMC, NDMC & SDMC General Duty Medical Officer – 184 Posts

When will the exam be, when to apply
UPSC Medical Service Exam 2021 will be conducted on 21st November 2021. This exam will be conducted in all the states and union territories of the country. For this, the application process will have to be completed online by visiting upsconline.nic.in. Online applications have started from 07 July 2021. The last date to apply is 27 July 2021 (up to 6 PM).

UPSC CMS Eligibility: Who Can Apply
Candidates who have passed MBBS Final Exam (Written & Practical), or are going to appear in Final Year Exam can apply. Those whose compulsory rotating internship is not yet completed can also apply. But after the selection in the exam, the appointment will be given only if the proof of completion of internship will be produced.
